Whow what a ride

What a ride - life is so incredibly good at present. I feel like I am on an intergalactic coaster from one coincidence to the next all going in a positive direction.
I am now in Real Estate - Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand.
I have a more business orientated blog at www.BrendaFitzGerald.typepad.com if you wish to check out my activities and are looking to buy or sell in Auckland, New Zealand.

I have been lapse on this site however intend to get it up to speed with Pics, Posts and links.

Summers Almost Gone

Summers almost gone.. We had a good one - as I read the Northern Hemispheres talk of daylight savings started, blossom, warmer days and melting snow... I see leaves changing colour and beginning to drop, extra precipitation even though it is still fairly warm. Ahhh! Hmmm!

Having seen a femme get skittled from her bike by an illustrious female(Immigrant from the sub continent) SUV driver who went straight through a stop sign and, and, and, did not even get out of her dam vehicle to check on the cyclists condition I have kinda cut the cycling around Auckland for now.

As I stood directly in front of this SUV whilst dialling 111 (NZ emergency Number) and threatening to do damage to her vehicle if she ran me over I thought OMG this could have been me. This stupid person appeared to not even understand, speak, comprehend English so how the @#$% could she read the STOP SIGN. Scarry stuff I tell you - riding a bike in Auckland is like roulette with death.

When the Police arrived even he could not get through to her!!!! Now that is even more of a worry - The cyclist is fine and hopefully the SUV driver will be off the road for a while :-)

I have decided to flag the Cycle Challege on the 23rd and do the Rotorua Marathon instead (Walk it!) I am a Gymmo but love the outdoor stuff - can't beat all that urban toxicity to give the immune system a fright - No I get out to the open space and beach if possible.

Last Saturday I wanted to check out the launch of the Ponsonby Fringe Festival so walked the 10kms there and back - friends and family do a polite hehe oooh when I tell them my plans. If I thought it was dodgy on my bike holy moly it is like dicing with death as a pedestrian. I so appreciate my trusty RAV 4!!!! Anyway...... I checked out the few Artists and the designer dog show - Only in Ponsonby Auckland!!!!

Hmm - am trying to upload some pics - first shot so we shall see what happens - if its a big blank then I will do a TBC.....

Thank the 'Weekpolice' it's Friday! Yeah! Now I did intend to get into this blogland and do a diligent triweekly nudge. Not to worry - great week here - weather continues to favour the outdoor activities - shame on the daylight savings having ended - just means the headlight is in use and the doggies have their flouro reflective coloured collars on.

The Commonwealth games from Melbourne are also riveting viewing keeping me awake till 0100hrs nightly - did a couple of great walks and bikerides myself this week (making the most of the weather)

Have been musing the net and recruiters sites for a possible change of workpath... Would love to have the resources to be a permanent traveller - maybe evening taking tour groups on adventures - hard core not wissey!

Cooked nice vege dish for dins and am ready for the weekend fun... Will do some work on this spot over the weekend to make it look and feel kewl - has to bed in!!

Having thought casually about entering the world of 'blogging' several times today is the day. Just returned from an 'end of daylight saving' trot with the dogs in our fab Auckland Cornwall Park decided over a 'skinny flat white' to give it a whirl.

Made a couple of goofs on the way trying to navigate my way... will get the gist over the next week or so or head back to start... hey its fun right! Especially on a Sunday morning... just checked out the womens marathon currently under way (from the commonwealth games in Melbourne) - Aussies one and two - dont ya hate that - gotta give it to them...they are great sportspeople with the ultimate passion for winning.

I want to set this up right so will go check out stage 2...
